Following Jesus is a lifelong journey, of going wider and deeper. We move wider by our ministry and service. We move deeper by our study and learning. In this worship series, we’ll be learning about the many aspects of being a follower of Jesus by looking at stages of growth in Simon Peter’s life of faith. This week, we’re exploring Jesus’ initial invitation to Simon Peter, from the Gospel of Mark. Although the circumstances of Jesus’ call to each of us may be unique, his invitation is the same as the one he extended to Simon Peter: “Come, be my disciples, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
