Last week, in Acts 16, the Apostle Paul met Lydia, and other women, praying on the riverbank near Philippi, and they joined forces. This week, Paul and his friends are disturbing the city, sharing the good news of love that results in change. Jesus’ Spirit causes folks to change from hatred to love, from greed to generosity. Change is hard; that’s the point. But if we embrace the gospel, then we are change makers. We will probably be resisted and ignored, yet if we persist, we will bring change, as we make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
