In Acts Chapter 9, members of a little church in Joppa, on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, experienced a rupture in the threads of their relationships. They’d lost Tabitha, also called Dorcas, one of the pillars of their church and community. So, they decided to grab a desperate hope – they sent runners to Peter, the Apostle, to come right away, hoping for a miracle. And what a miracle they received, as Tabitha was returned to life, the connecting threads of community restored! We are who we are because of our relationships with others.
