Life is a gift, and everything belongs to God. Even your capacity to acquire wealth is a gift from God. You didn’t bring any of it with you when you were born, and you won’t take any of it with you when you die. Actually, we don’t really own anything. God owns it all. Obviously, many of our resources go to take care of our needs. God also wants us to enjoy our lives, yet God expects us to do more than focus only on ourselves. The Scriptures teach us that we’re to give to those in need; and when we do, we’re blessed. The Scriptures also teach us that we’re to return a portion of our livelihood to God. Our generosity to God and others not only touches God and other people, it also changes us. Are you willing to being changed by God?
